Volunteers are the backbone of Little League. All coaches, board members, team moms, concessions staff, etc are all volunteers. Our league needs volunteers in order to operate. Here are some of the more important roles each team needs to fill. Please note that these roles will satisfy each family's mandatory volunteer obligation.
Team Head Coach
Each team is lead by a head coach. The head coach communicates game schedule, schedules practice, acts as a liaison between the team and the league. The Head Coach is chosen by the Burbank National Board of Directors. The Head Coach is required to submit a background check required by Little League International.
Team Assistant Coach
The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach as needed. The Assistant Coach is required to submit a background check required by Little League International.
Team Mom
The Team Mom assists the Head Coach as needed, typically communicating to the team and managing after game snacks. The Team Mom also attends training to manage and staff the Concession Stand on the days which the team is assigned to work. The Team Mom is required to submit a background check required by Little League International.
