The Tee Ball division uses a plan that features structured learning. Over the course of the season, coaches and parents will engage in a series of lessons utilizing many activities that include skills, drills and plenty of physical activity. The primary focus is to learn the fundamentals of throwing, hand-eye coordination, running and a basic understanding of the game of baseball in order to prepare players for the Bantam Division.
Approved coaches will be on the field during the game to direct and teach the players. All players will bat once per inning. Defensive players are encouraged to field the ball and throw to the appropriate base. However, no outs will be recorded and each batter will only reach first base. The final batter of each inning will clear the bases and run around the bases until they reach home. Batters will hit off of a tee and as the season progresses a coach may toss the ball to the batters.
Games will be limited to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Games will typically be played on Fridays and Sundays while practices will be scheduled at the team manager's discretion. Each team may play a game or two on other days during the week. A team will never play more than 3 games in a week. All tee ball players will receive a jersey, cap, pants and socks as their uniform. All players that complete the season and are in good standing with the league will compete in the Future Stars game and festivities at the end of the season as well as receive a trophy at the league picnic.
